Google, in partnership with EmployAbility, is providing a scholarship opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students with disabilities who are studying computer science, computer engineering, informatics or closely related fields in Europe or Israel for the academic year 2023-2024.

The Google Europe Students with Disabilities Scholarship is designed to support and inspire students with visible or invisible disabilities to pursue their academic and professional goals in the field of computer science.

The scholarship is worth €7,000 and will cover tuition fees, books, and supplies for the academic year. Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Google Europe Students with Disabilities Scholarship, all applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the academic year 2022-2023.
  • Intend to enroll or be accepted as a student in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at an accredited university in Europe or Israel for the academic year 2023-2024.
  • Be pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, informatics, or a closely related technical field.
  • Show a strong academic record.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and a strong interest in computer science and technology.

How to apply

Are you interested and qualified? To apply, visit the  Google on apps.employ-ability.org.uk 

You will be required to submit an online application that includes the following information:

  • Background information in general (e.g. contact information and details about your current and intended universities)
  • Resume/CV
  • Transcripts from your current and previous institutions (if you have earned a prior degree)
  • One recommendation letter from a professor, instructor, adviser, or supervisor
  • Answers to three brief essay questions
  • Recipients will be chosen based on the overall strength of their essays and application materials in comparison to the applicant pool as a whole or their respective peers (e.g. Bachelors students compared to other Bachelors students).
