About the University of Skövde

The University of Skövde (Högskolan I Skövde, HIS) is a Swedish state university located in Skövde. Skövde University was granted university status in 1983 and is now an academic institution offering general and specialized educational programs in areas such as business, health, biomedicine, and computer game design.

The university’s research, education, and PhD training are divided into four schools: Bioscience, Business, Health and Education, Engineering Science, and Informatics. The university has about 9,000 students (4,000 FTE) enrolled in 50 undergraduate and ten graduate programs.

Scholarship Benefit

The scholarships cover a portion of the tuition fee (50 percent). If you are awarded, the amount will be deducted from your tuition when you receive your invoice.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Citizens of countries other than the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

     

  • Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, motivation text, and video. Other qualifications that are judged to be relevant to educational or research areas, as well as geographic location, are examples of criteria that the University of Skövde prioritizes in accordance with its internationalisation strategy.

     

  • The master’s degree must be completed on campus.
  • In general, students are only eligible for a University of Skövde Master’s Scholarship if they choose a master’s program at the University of Skövde as their first priority on University Admissions.

    You must have completed the program application and met all deadlines for the master’s first admission round. You must meet the entry requirements for the master’s program you applied to, pay the application fee, and submit all supporting documents by the deadline set by University Admissions.

  • In the online application form, you must fill out all required fields. In your motivation text, explain why you chose the master’s program at the University of Skövde. Scholarship applications that do not include a motivation text will be rejected.

     

  • You are not currently eligible to apply for University of Skövde Masters Scholarships if you are already admitted or enrolled as a master’s student at the University of Skövde. These scholarships are given out prior to the start of a master’s program.
