Erasmus Mundus AFEPA Scholarship Programme for International Students,2023

The European Master’s programme in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Policy Analysis (AFEPA) addresses the growing need to comprehend the socioeconomic and environmental implications of agricultural, food, and environmental policies.

The AFEPA consortium grants a limited number of EMJMD scholarships that vary based on the applicant’s country of origin. In addition to the financial contributions outlined in the table below, beneficiaries of EMJMD scholarships will not be required to pay tuition or other administrative expenses. In addition, they receive a complete health insurance plan and free language instruction.

Erasmus Mundus, a program of the European Union, aims to improve the quality of higher education through scholarships and academic collaboration between the EU and the rest of the world.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the ERASMUS Mundus Master’s Programme in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Policy Analysis, applicants must possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent academic degree requiring at least three years of undergraduate study and 180 ECTS credits, with a minimum overall average “B” or comparable grade. Students in their final year of their Bachelor’s degree may be provisionally admitted to the AFEPA Master’s programme, provided that their Bachelor’s degree is awarded prior to enrolling.
  • 24 ECTS credits in economics (covering microeconomics, management, mathematics, and statistics). A refresher course in agricultural, environmental, or food sciences is advised. Please ensure that your official bachelor’s transcript either shows credit points according to the ECTS credit point system or that you attach a diploma supplement that explains your university’s credit point system.
  • English proficiency test results (not older than two years):
    • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 90 on the Internet-based Test (IBT), with a minimum of 20 on the written section.

       

    • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): an overall band IELTS score of at least 6.5, with no sections scoring less than 5.5.

       

    • The AFEPA Management Board has determined that this test is equal (if you want to submit test results other than from the TOEFL or IELTS tests please obtain our confirmation of that particular test prior to sending your application package).

       

    • Note: Applicants from English-speaking nations must present an official letter from their university of graduation attesting to the fact that English is the medium of instruction. The consortium will decide whether an English Test as indicated above must be submitted in addition.
