As a Chancellor’s Scholar, you will earn a living stipend and/or a living stipend in addition to a guaranteed spot in a professional graduate degree program.

Scholarship Benefit
This prize is awarded to remarkable students in appreciation of their exceptional academic performance throughout their Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB).
- HECS Student Contribution exemption for the duration of a Commonwealth Sponsored Place in a bachelor’s degree, a concurrent diploma, and 25 credit points of single subject enrolments.
- Living allowance for up to three years of $5,000 per year for students studying in Victoria and $10,000 per year for students studying outside of Victoria.
If you enroll in a bachelor (extended) course and/or a concurrent certificate alongside your bachelor’s degree at the University of Melbourne, the allowance will be extended by one year. - Melbourne Global Scholars Award of up to $2,500 for an approved foreign study period as an Exchange or Study Abroad student.
- Guaranteed Commonwealth Sponsored Position in one of the professional master degrees for students who meet the prerequisite course and admission requirements.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- either:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen, and have completed an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia, or be a New Zealand citizen.
- Australian citizenship and completion of Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate outside of Australia.
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen, and have completed an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia, or be a New Zealand citizen.
- not having finished courses taken as part of a postsecondary program (except subjects that were part of an extension program)
- have applied for an undergraduate study at the University of Melbourne through VTAC for entry in the year after completion of Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate.
- satisfy the entry requirements for the course at the University of Melbourne indicated in your VTAC application; and
- have earned a minimum ATAR of 99.90, or
- Bachelor of Music applicants must have attained a minimum ATAR of 99.85 and an audition score of A+, or
- be of Indigenous Australian heritage and have earned a minimum ATAR score of 90
- have earned a minimum ATAR of 99.90, or
