Plasterers may operate alone or as part of a team. Plastering refers to the procedure that is used to create plasterwork, which has been utilized in the construction of buildings for millennia.

Responsibilities

• Sand seams and joints after applying successive coats of compound.
• Plaster coats should be applied, leveled, and smoothed.
• Surfaces should be cleaned and prepared.
• Cure newly plastered areas

• Using a trowel and a broad knife, fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• If necessary, finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat.
• Allow the coat to dry after smoothing out any excess compound.
• Working from a height, on scaffolding, or on swing stages
• Set up scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
