- to be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, or to possess a relevant international visa or be eligible to apply for one; and
- meet the Flinders University PhD admission requirements – an Australian Honours degree Class 1 or 2A or equivalent qualification (at least AQF Level 8) or evidence of equivalent research experience, such as refereed publications or substantial experience as a lead researcher; and
- Scholarship recipients are expected to begin their studies as soon as possible, within the timeframe specified by the Office of Graduate Research in consultation with the industry partner, and within a maximum of three months from the date of scholarship acceptance. This period may be extended to six months under exceptional conditions and with the approval of both the industry partner and the University.
- Other eligibility requirements pertinent to the business partner/research project (eg have or able to apply for a National Police Criminal History Check)
In addition, applicants should possess:
- Superior verbal communication and organisational abilities
- A healthcare history
