There have been dozens of question from students asking to know more about the amnesty granted by the Vice-Chancellor to students who didn’t graduate. Below is a comprehensive explanation.
The amnesty is for those who didn’t graduate from the Delta State University due to multiple years of extension. They’ve now been pardoned and can now come back to the university to finish their programme in peace.
They’re expected to write an application for the re-opening of their portal. The application should be Through Their HOD, Through The Dean of Students, to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics.
In the content of the letter, please do make sure you specify that you’re writing the letter based on the amnesty granted by the Vice-Chancellor, so the DVC will note the peculiarity of the case.
The letter is to be submitted to the HOD of the department, after which it will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities. Please do make sure you follow up your HOD concerning that. The Student Union Government is particularly happy to have you all back to the Citadel of learning. Congratulations.
Rumours of extension of exam date has been flying around. The Union will communicate that to everyone soon, as well as the extension of late school fees payment.
This message is long already, but permit me to remind you all that the FIRST EVER Christmas Carol in Abraka Campus of Delsu will take place on Thursday. Do not miss this for anything!
