University of Edinburgh 2023 The Catto Combined MSc and PhD Scholarships, Centre of African Studies

This scholarship has been designed to provide a combined package to allow those who do not believe they have enough research experience to pursue a PhD to obtain that grounding through an MSc.

The University of Edinburgh’s Centre of African Studies is pleased to announce the availability of one full scholarship for suitable female African applicants to study for an MSc in Africa and International Development and subsequent PhD in African Studies or, where more suitable, to go straight into a PhD.

This scholarship has been designed to provide a combined package to allow those who do not believe they have enough research experience to pursue a PhD to obtain that grounding through an MSc. The MSc year serves as a bridge between undergraduate and PhD studies.
