- Tasks
- Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical equipment to discover and identify any problems that may exist.
- Examine running motors, put motor vehicles through their paces on the road, and investigate the workings of automotive systems and components
- Adjust, fix, or replace broken or worn-out elements and components of automobile systems.

- Conduct a defect and malfunction analysis, and then discuss your findings with the supervisor to decide if the equipment should be repaired or replaced.
- Rebuild or replace any faulty mechanical components or equipment.
