The UQ Firebirds undergraduate financial aid Australia gives students the opportunity to apply for Undergraduate level program(s) in the field of all Subjects that are being taught in the University of Queensland.
The undergraduate scholarship is open for International Students irrespective of their nationality.
This scholarship was established in the year 2019 and has been maintained by an annual gift from Queensland Firebirds and UQ Marketing and Communications.
The undergraduate scholarship is to encourage and support new students who have demonstrated a passion for netball.

The UQ Firebirds undergraduate financial aid scholarship program in Australia is available to undergraduate level programs in the University of Queensland.
UQ Firebirds Available Subjects

Scholarship Benefits:
The University of Queensland will provide Up to four scholarships may be awarded annually on the recommendation of the Chair. The total value of the grant is $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must have Completed year 12 in the year prior to award, interested candidates must Intend to enroll as a commencing student in an Approved Program in the year of the award. If possible, the candidate Can demonstrate they have played netball for school or a club or contributed to the sport of netball through coaching or volunteering within the previous 2 year period.
Application Procedure:
If you want to be enlisted in this educational program, then you are recommended to take admission in the undergraduate degree coursework at the University of Queensland. After being registered, you must have to submit a completed application with the following supporting documents.
Selection criteria
The Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the following criteria –
- In no particular order, preference may be given to Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Persons, students who are first in their family to attend university, or a Regional or Remote Student;
- Academic achievement in years 11 and 12;
- Achievements and commitment to the netball community;
- Leadership achievements and capabilities; and
- Demonstrate financial need.
