Scholarship Description:
Aston University is offering GREAT Scholarships for Kenyan students to study in the United Kingdom in 2022. Applications are currently being accepted from international students. The scholarship is for students interested in pursuing Postgraduate studies at Aston University in the fields of Criminal Justice, Social Justice, or Law. The application period for the scholarship will close on June 12th, 2022.

Scholarship Benefits:
A student from Kenya who intends to attend Aston University during the academic year 2022-2023 and pursue a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law will be eligible to receive a scholarship in the amount of £10,000.

Qualifications Required to Apply:
- Course: LLM International Commercial Law.
- Kenyan by birth and upbringing (you must also be a current resident of Kenya).
- Minimum academic qualification: the equivalent of a UK 2:1 degree qualification.
Procedure for Applying:
You will be able to find a link to the scholarship application form in your My Aston Portal (MAP) account once you have been given an offer for this course and have logged in. Your offer email contains information that can be used to access your MAP account and provides further instructions.
Please create a video response, no longer than one minute in length, to the following question: “How will studying Law at Aston University enable you to contribute to the welfare and development of your country?”
If your video is longer than one minute, we will only consider the first minute of it. This is done to ensure that the application process is conducted in a fair manner.
Please provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words explaining why you should be accepted into this program and how you will establish an engagement with the United Kingdom as a scholar by achieving both personal and academic success. Please upload your video to YouTube (or another platform if YouTube is not available in your country) and submit both the video link and your personal statement of up to 500 words on the application page for the ‘GREAT Scholarship’ found on My Aston Portal (MAP).
Interview stage. Following the evaluation of all applications for the GREAT Scholarship (Justice & Law) by a committee from Aston University, a select group of promising applicants will be invited to attend an interview with members of the academic staff from Aston Law School. This interview will take place in June of 2022, and successful candidates will be notified via email that they have been invited to proceed to the next stage.
