The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is delighted to announce the launch of the 2023 Call for Applications under the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme. Under the program, 60 scholarships will be awarded to successful candidates who have been offered a seat at an authorized Irish higher education institution for one year of study at the Masters or PhD levels.

The offer is accessible to non-EU/EEA students and is relevant to all disciplines of study.

About the Higher Education Authority

The HEA directs the strategic development of Ireland’s higher education and research system with the goal of creating a coherent system of diverse institutions with distinct missions that is responsive to Ireland’s and its people’s social, cultural, and economic development and supports the achievement of national objectives.

At the central government level, the HEA is tasked with the effective governance and regulation of higher education institutions and the higher education system.

Scholarship Benefit

Successful students will receive:

  • A €10,000 stipend for one year’s study
  • A full fee waiver of all tuition and other registration costs at the higher education institution

Eligibility Criteria

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is accepting applications for a scholarship for students planning to enroll in a one-year, full-time MSc program in London in 2023–2024. MSc Public Health for Eye Care course.

  • Have a domicile outside of the EU/EEA/Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
  • Have been offered a full-time seat in an appropriate Irish higher education institution for either:
    • One year of a master’s degree program that is taught

       

    • A one-year research program (i.e. one year of a 2-year research masters or a 3- 4-year PhD programme).
