Rotary Peace Fellowships 2023-2024 | Fully Funded

Rotary Peace Fellowships 2023-2024 are fully financed international student grants. These scholarships are exclusively available for master’s degree programs. Tuition, fees, accommodation and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses are completely covered by the Rotary Peace Fellowships Program.

Each year, up to 150 students are given Rotary Peace Fellowships. These fellowships are available for people interested in pursuing a Professional Development Certificate Program or a Masters Degree Program in peace and conflict resolution and prevention.

The Rotary Peace Centers have trained over 1,400 fellows who now operate in over 115 countries since the program began in 2002. Many work in government, non-governmental organizations, the military, education, law enforcement, and international organizations such as the United Nations and the World Bank as leaders.

Important Note: Fellowship awardees are not permitted to study at a Rotary Peace Center in their home country, with the exception of Thai candidates, who are permitted to attend the center at Chulalongkorn University.

Rotary Peace Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

Rotary Peace Fellowships are for professionals with a background in international relations, peacekeeping, or conflict resolution. The following requirements must also be met by applicants:

• Eligible Countries: All world countries
• Proficiency in English; proficiency in a second language is strongly recommended
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong commitment to international understanding and peace as demonstrated through professional and academic achievements and personal or community service
• Master’s degree applicants: minimum three years of related full-time work or volunteer experience, bachelor’s degree
• Certificate applicants: minimum five years of related full-time work or volunteer experience, strong academic background

What is the procedure for applying for Rotary Peace Fellowships?

The following instructions must be performed in order to apply for Rotary Peace Fellowships:

1. Check the eligibility requirements and limits in the application guidelines.
2. Examine the curricula and programs offered by each Rotary Peace Center. You’ll be asked to rank two different centers.
3. Prepare your resume/CV, essays, academic or professional recommendations, transcripts, and test scores for your application. All content must be written in the English language.
4. Transcripts and scores are not required for certificate candidates.
5. To schedule an interview, contact your local Rotary district before submitting your application. The application process necessitates the endorsement of the district. TIP: Your local Rotary club can assist you in establishing a relationship with your district. Use Club Finder to find the club that is closest to you. For candidates who have district support, club interviews and recommendations are strongly encouraged but not essential.
6. Submit your online application to your district by May 15th, before any interviews.
   Complete an interview with representatives from the district. By July 1, districts must submit their recommendations to The Rotary Foundation.
   In November, you will receive notification of the selection results. If you are awarded a fellowship, you will be informed of which Peace Center you will be studying at.
   Apply to the university where your Peace Center is located for admission. The fact that you were chosen for the fellowship does not imply that you have been accepted to the university.
