Prof. Victor Peretomode gets Youth council Award

Great News! as the Vice Chancellor of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Victor Peretomode, was honored with the Thomas Sagara Agnize Award for Excellence.

This Award was given by the Ambassador of the Economic Community of the West African Youth Council (EYC) during their tour of West African countries.

On presenting the Award, Ambassador Daniel Emeka Nwachukwu the spokesman of the group said that the objective of the tour was to identify outstanding individuals who had distinguished themselves.

He also pointed out that the Vice Chancellor of Delta State University (Delsu) has particularly distinguished himself in the area of human capital development.

Ambassador Daniel Nwachukwu applauded Professor Peretomode, particularly for infrastructure development, swift response to students’ challenges, among others.

With regards to the recognition of their contribution to a better life in Africa.

The EYC Vice-Commissioner of Engagement, Nochiso Toure, from Cote D’Voire (Ivory Coast), also pointed out that the VC demonstrated versatility on various issues bordering Africa, especially in relation to youths and nation building.

Professor Peretomode replied that he welcomed the award due to the Council’s robust mission and vision that cuts through across West Africa.

In addition, he requested that the Management would appreciate if the ECOWAS Youth Conference scheduled for September will be hosted by DELSU.

He also assured them of free accommodation for all delegates as well as venues for the conference.

The Vice-Chancellor also acknowledged the role played by the school’s management team, staffs and students.

He finalized by giving God all the praise and glory for his success so far.
