RMIT University (officially Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, abbreviated RMIT) is a public research university in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Francis Ormond founded the Working Men’s College of Melbourne in 1887 as a private night school offering instruction in art, science, and technology in response to Australia’s industrial revolution. After merging with the Phillip Institute of Technology, it was designated as a public university by an act of the Victorian Parliament in 1992.

Scholarship Benefits

The total value of the scholarship is AU$10,000, payable after the first census date as a one-time payment towards future tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria

• be a citizen of Latin America countries
• applying from Latin American nations
• be an international student with a valid student visa or intend to apply for one prior to the program’s start date.
• not currently enrolled at RMIT University
• Enroll for Semester 1 or 2 2023 in any Vocational Education, Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, Graduate Diploma, or Masters by Coursework programme provided by:
  • Accounting, Information Systems and Supply Chain
  • Art
  • Economics, Finance and Marketing
  • Management
  • Property, Construction and Project Management
  • Architecture and Urban Design
  • Business and Law
  • Design
  • Education
  • Fashion and textiles
  • Global, Urban and Social Studies
  • Media and Communication
• achieving a cumulative grade point average of 70% or equivalent in your most recent qualification
• Provide either a 200-word personal statement or a 60-90 second video. Please describe why you believe you deserve the scholarship and why you would make an ideal RMIT Ambassador.
