The LKY School, Singapore’s foremost public policy institution, offers merit and need-based scholarships for Master’s degrees and other programs. Some students rely on student loans, while others get outside support. These include private philanthropic foundations, employers, home-country governments, and professional groups.
Master’s scholarship applicants must have good academic and professional records. They must show leadership potential and public service motivation. Only meritorious candidates will receive scholarships. Scholars can’t hold multiple scholarships, fellowships, or awards without permission.

About the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP)
Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is an autonomous postgraduate school of the National University of Singapore, named after the late former Singaporean prime minister Lee Kuan Yew.
Scholarship Benefit
The following expenses are covered by the relevant scholarship terms:
- Tuition, medical insurance, exams, and other authorized expenses.
- A monthly maintenance stipend for the duration of the studies.
- A one-time book and moving expense stipend.
- Expense of travel from home to Singapore (economy airfare by the most direct route).
- Cost of travel from Singapore to home country following commencement (economy airfare by most direct route).
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be from the public sector, have a demonstrated commitment to public service, and have an outstanding and professional record.
- Applicants for scholarships for Master’s degrees and other programs must have excellent academic and professional records.
- They must exhibit potential for leadership and a desire to contribute to public service. Unless there are candidates of adequate merit, not all scholarships will be awarded.
- Scholars may not simultaneously hold any other scholarship, fellowship, or award without the School’s prior consent.
Nigerian and Indian students who wish to study a Master of Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) at the National University of Singapore are now eligible for scholarships.
