Within the university’s five constituent faculties are more than fifty schools, departments, institutes, and research centres. In 2017/18, the University of Nottingham had an income of £656.5 million, of which £120.1 million was derived from research grants and contracts.

Scholarship Benefit

The studentship will cover tuition at the Home student rate (£4,850 for 2023/24) and provide a full-time annual stipend comparable to RCUK rates (£17,668).

As the fee funding is capped at the Home student rate, successful international applicants are expected to cover the fee shortfall (international fees for 2023/24 are estimated to be £27,200 for science PhD projects and £20,500 for social science PhD projects). All rates undergo annual review and are therefore subject to change.
