FELLOWSHIPS are scholarships awarded on the basis of merit. It is not granted out of sympathy, but on the basis of merit.

Belgium is a country riddled with inconsistencies. Nestled between Latin influences to the south and Germanic influences to the north, it has two main modes of communication and cultures that reflect both.

Belgium is divided into French and Dutch factions, which extends to the university system, however they have a strong affinity to America. There are also a few Germans in the country.

These minor factors contribute to Belgium being a good place to study, as evidenced by the large number of Americans studying there. The Belgian government, institutions, and private organizations are pleased with this achievement, and they have provided numerous scholarships for local and international students, including students from the United States.

Students will discover that this diversity extends to the educational system in Belgium, as well as making Belgium a home for students from the United States and other international communities.
