Pow Xun Ping, who is popularly known by his stage name Shane Pow, was born on October 4th, 1990 in Singapore. He also has a sibling who is far younger than him. Both Woodlands Ring Secondary School and Ngee Ann Polytechnic were his educational institutions of choice.

In 2011, Shane Pow participated in the Manhunt Singapore competition after registering for it. Beam Artistes, who were also the creators of the Manhunt Singapore 2011 competition, were in charge of his management. After his time on ManHunt, he went on to secure cameo appearances in a few different local programs. In 2012, when he had fulfilled the obligations of his National Service, he signed a contract with MediaCorp to begin working as an artist. His breakthrough role came in the locally produced drama “It Takes Two,” which made its debut in the year 2012.

In 2014, Shane Pow made his debut in the hosting industry by assuming the roles of host for Cheap and Good and Style Check-in 4. In addition, he had roles in the movies Serve H.O.T., Against the Tide, and Three Wishes, all of which were nominated for and received awards in the category of Top 10 Most Popular Male Artists at the Star Awards in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

In 2015, he worked on the productions Family on the Edge and The Journey: Our Homeland.
