Rani Scholarships at the University of Bradford

The Rani Scholarship was founded on Anita’s passion and personal experience with how higher education may transform the course of women’s life.

Every year, the award will help four underprivileged female students study and achieve in university courses and sectors where they are underrepresented.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility requirement for the Rani Scholarships at University of Bradford include:

For Home Students must:

  • Identify as a female
  • Have an unconditional/conditional offer on one of the above courses
  • Meet one of the hardship criteria outlined in the application form – these are:
    • Refugee and asylum seeker
    • Care leaver
    • Disabled
    • Low participation background as defined by polar4 quintile 1 and 2
    • Socio-economic disadvantage
  • Reside at a Bradford postcode

For International Students must:

  • Have an unconditional/conditional offer on one of the above courses
  • Meet one of the hardship criteria outlined in the application form – these are:
    • Refugee and asylum seeker
    • Disabled
    • Other forms of hardship will also be considered

Award Disbursement

  • International students will receive a 50% discount on their tuition fees.
  • Home students will be paid a  yearly stipend of £6,930, increasing by 5% each year.
