This scholarship provides funding for graduate-level study in the field of engineering at RMIT University in Australia, specifically in the area of robotics.
Applications are being accepted for a PhD Scholarship In Robotic Intelligence For Construction Waste Sorting at RMIT University in Australia in 2022. International students may apply for this program.
Brief Description:
- HOST: RMIT University AustraliaLOCATION: Australia
- OFFERED SUBJECT: Engineering, Robotics
- LEVEL: PhD
- ELIGIBLE NATIONALITY: International Students
- TYPE: Partial Funding
- DEADLINE: 17 August 2022
Scholarship Benefits:
Within the scope of this project, the DRL technique for construction waste grasping will be implemented, and furthermore, flexible and adaptable robotic grippers for waste handling will be designed. It’s possible that the robotic hands and grippers that are currently on the market for commercial use won’t be able to manage irregular and heavy construction waste in an unstructured setting. During the picking process, the gripper must be able to accommodate wastes of varying shapes and sizes and tolerate collisions brought on by the movement of the material. The touch and force sensors are able to lend a hand when it comes to controlling the gripper and the execution of the grasp in real-world settings.
The award will be in the amount of $31,885 per year and will be provided by RMIT University for a period of three years with the possibility of a six-month extension.
