Scholarship Benefits:

The Sam and Nina Narodowski PhD scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance to newly admitted PhD candidates for the duration of their studies in a variety of specialized research fields.

Applicants for a doctoral degree who plan to conduct their studies in Food Production and Agribusiness, Sustainability and Environment, or Clothing Textiles will each have the opportunity to win one of three available scholarships.

A second scholarship will be made available to prospective PhD students who intend to conduct their research in the fields of health, disability, and aged care; urban transport and social planning; or migration and settlement services.

This scholarship consists of the following components:

  • A stipend scholarship of AUD$ 33,000 per annum pro rata to be indexed annually.
  • A tuition fee scholarship for successful international applicants or RTP fee offset scholarship for Australian citizens and permanent residents and New Zealand citizens

The scholarship will be awarded for a period of no longer than three years and six months at most.

Candidates for entry into the PhD program are required to demonstrate that they satisfy the eligibility requirements.

  • Sustainability and the Environment in Regards to Agribusiness and Food Production
  • Clothes and other textiles

  • Services for Migrating and Settling in New Lands
