After that, he released another fantastic album called YBNL, which featured hit singles such as “Stupid Love,” “Voice of the Street,” and “Ilefo Illuminati.”

YBNL Records, which has produced other music stars such as Lil Kesh, Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold, Lyta, Limerick, Temmie Ovwasa, Chinko Ekun, Picazo, Asake, and Viktoh, was founded by the talented artist who raps in both Yoruba and English. He is also the owner of YBNL Records.

Olamide was born into the family of Pa Adedeji on March 15th, 1989. His father’s name is Pa Adedeji. His family practiced polygamy, and his mother was the second woman the family married. He is the second child from his mother. Mrs. Ronke Osisanya Adedeji is his mother.  He is the older brother of DJ Eniola Olamilekan, also known professionally as DJ Enimoney, and the younger brother of TemmyGold, also known as TemmyGold. He has two additional siblings.

His parents called him Olamide Gbenga. His raised in the center of Bariga, a city located in Mainland Lagos, together with his siblings. Olamide had indicated interest in pursuing a career in music ever since he was a teenager. This choice was made as he became aware of his musical skill and realized that he was capable of writing rap songs. The first people to become admirers of his music were his siblings and friends from the neighborhood, for whom he frequently played.

Despite the challenges he had in the beginning of his career as a musician, he never stopped believing in his vision and refused to give up on his objective. Olamide had his primary and secondary schooling at prestigious public institutions in Bariga during his whole academic career.

After graduating from high school, he was granted entry into the Tai Solarin University of Education, which is owned and operated by the state of Ogun. However, he was unable to continue his education at the college because of his financial circumstances.

After discovering that he had a talent for music in the year 2000, Olamide decided to pursue music as a career. After ten years, and upon Eni Duro’s entrance, he eventually became famous. Under the  Coded Tunes, he released his debut track, titled “Eni Duro,” which was produced under the direction of Toni Payne. After that, Olamide gave a performance at the hip-hop world awards event that took place during the same year.

Baddo Sneh started out with ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes record label, which was run by Toni Payne, and it was there that he recorded his debut studio album. In 2012, he departed in order to start his own record mark.

Olamide’s career began to take off when he was still under ID Cabasa’s management at Coded Tunes Records, which is a record label. In 2011, he published his debut album, Raspodi, under the label Coded Tunes, and it was quite successful financially. The first song from the album, titled “Omo To Shan,” was essential in establishing Olamide’s position as the new king of Indigenous Rap (Yoruba). Additionally, the release of the track paved the road for further amazing collaborations in the industry with notable artists such as D’banj, Reminisce, 9ice, and Wizkid.

Olamide collaborated with producers ID Cabasa, Samklef, Pheelz, and 2kriss on the production of his sophomore album, which was titled Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) and was released in 2013. The project includes a cooperation with some of the most well-known artists in the business, including Dammy Krane, Kayswitch, Davido, Tiwa Savage, and Reminisce, among others.


In a similar fashion, Olamide released his third album the year after it had been released. In November of 2013, the compilation named Baddest Guy Ever Liveth was made available to the public. Pheelz was responsible for producing twelve of the thirteen tracks on the record, and it featured guest appearances from notable musicians such as Ice Prince, Pepenazi, Viktoh, Phyno, and Bez.

This album has several singles that have reached the top of the charts, including Eleda Mi O, Yemi My Lover, Durosoke, and Turn Up. It was awarded the title of Best Album of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. At that year’s Headies ceremony, the album also took home awards for Best Rap Album and Album Of The Year.

The album that came out after Baddest Guy Ever Liveth was called Street OT, and it was published on November 14, 2014. It is Olamide’s fourth studio album, and it has several popular songs, including “Story For The Gods” and “Goons Mi.” It was produced by a group consisting of Young John, Pheelz, and B-Banks, all of whom are independent sound producers.

Olamide released his fifth studio album, named Eyan Mayweather, on November 23, 2015. The album consists of a total of 21 tracks and was published in the United Kingdom. On this production, there was not a featured artiste of any kind. In the earlier part of that year, in April, he had released a project called 2 Kings, which was a collaboration with the Ibo rapper Phyno. The album, which was produced by Penthauze Music and YBNL Records in collaboration with each other.

Olamide has released his sixth studio album, titled The Glory. The album has guest appearances from artists including as Pheelz, Phyno, Burna Boy, Davolee, and Wande Coal. Pheelz was responsible for the development of the 16-track project, and the album was made available for purchase on December 23, 2016, exactly one year ago.

Olamide issued a nine-track EP titled 999 as well as two full-length albums, titled Carpie Diem and UY Scuti, in the years 2020 and 2021.

The fact that there was no prior public statement regarding the launching of 999 on February 10, 2020 makes it a project that is considered to be a surprise. At the same time, on October 8, 2020, Carpie Diem was made available to the public. The album has a total of 12 tracks.

The song UY Scuti, which was reportedly inspired by Olamide’s kid, was released on June 18th, 2021. Olamide has made it public knowledge that he will be releasing one more album in the near future, which will be the final full-length effort he does as an artist.

Olamide is a devoted family man who is currently living the good life with his wife, Mrs. Adebukunmi Aisha Suleiman Adedeji. Their union has been honoured with two offspring, both of whom are of the male gender. The first one is known as Maximilian Boluwatife, and the second one is identified by the name Tunrepin Myles.

The Adedejis are known for their luxurious way of life, which they maintain in one of the more affluent communities on Lagos Island. Olamide’s music style and fashion sense have had an impact on popular culture in Nigeria, and he is also credited with popularizing a number of street phrases that enjoyed a period of popularity during which they were widely used.
