Candidates who meet the requirements and are interested in enrolling in one of the following part-time professional diploma programs are encouraged to submit an application. The Diploma Programs are designed to be completed in a Part-Time Study Format over the Course of Four (4) Semesters.

Admission Into The Part-Time Professional Diploma(PPD) Courses For the Centre For Continuing Education Programmes For the 2022/2023 Academic Session

1. Computer Science:

Candidates must have at least five O/L Credit passes at not more than two sittings in order to qualify for admission into the Professional Diploma in Computer Science program. These must include English Language, Mathematics, and Physics, as well as any two of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, and Geography. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.

2. Information Communication Technology (ICT):

To be eligible for admission into the Professional Diploma in Computer Science program, candidates need to have earned a total of at least five O/L Credits in no more than two attempts. These O/L Credits must be in the following subject areas: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, and Geography.

3. Security, Peace, and Conflict Resolution:

A minimum of five (5) credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) NECO or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE) O’ Level TC II or their equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics, and two Social Science subject and any other subject obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. This requirement must be met in order to be considered for this position.

4. Cooperative Studies:

A minimum of five (5) credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), NECO or General Certificate of Education (GCE) O’ Level, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other Social Science subjects, must be possessed by candidates. These credit passes must be obtained in no more than two sittings.

5. Laboratory Equipment Maintenance and Management:

Five (5) credit level passes in SSCE (WAEC or NECO)/GCE O/L in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, acquired at not more than two (2) sittings each, are required. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are allowed.

6. Journalism and Media Studies:

A minimum of five (5) O/Level credit passes in (SSCE), NECO, NABTEB, or GCE or its equivalent at no more than two sittings is required. , these should contain credit in English Language, Mathematics, and Literature in English, in addition to two subjects in the Social Science category.

7. Broadcasting:

A minimum of five (5) O/Level credit passes in (SSCE), NECO, NABTEB, or GCE or its equivalent at no more than two sittings is required. , these should contain credit in English Language, Mathematics, and Literature in English, in addition to two subjects in the Social Science category.

8. Public Relations:

A minimum of five (5) O/Level credit passes in (SSCE), NECO, NABTEB, GCE or its equivalent at not more than two sittings. These should contain credit in English Language, Mathematics, and Literature in English in addition to two Social Science subjects.

9. Entrepreneurship:

Obtaining a total of five (5) credits in not more than two (2) attempts at the SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE ‘O’ level examination, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and/or Commerce, and any other two (2) Social/Management Science Subjects, is required for admission to study this course.

Method Of Application

Candidates are required to visit portal.delsu.edu.ng and click on CCEP to obtain the forms at N15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only and make payment online or generate a pin and pay in any bank displayed on the pin generated.

The website opens for the purchase of forms on Monday, August 1st 2022 and closes on Friday, March 31st 2023.

How to Apply for Delsu Part-Time Professional Diploma for 2022/2023

Applications are to be filled online at the rate of N15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only through the use of the Delta State University virtual Pin generated at portal.delsu.edu.ng and payment made at any of the following University approved banks.

  • Unity Bank

  • Visit https://portal.delsu.edu.ng
  • Click on the online registration
  • Select Start button
  • Click on Diploma Programme and complete the form
  • Submit the form and generate a PIN
  • Print out the PIN generated
  • Visit any of the specified banks for payment.

Other Important Delsu part-time professional diploma form information:

  • Candidates should, with the pin for payment access and complete the Delta State University, Abraka, 2022/2023 Professional Diploma Form Online at http://www.delsu.edu.ng with their recent coloured passport-sized photograph scanned to the JPEG format and not more than 20kb in size.
  • Candidates are advised to use a virtual pin immediately after payment as the pin will be invalid after six (6) hours of generation.
  • Candidates are advised to read the instructions on the front page of the website before completing the form.
  • Online application starts on Monday, August 1st 2022.
  • The application Website closes by 6.00 p.m. on Friday, March 31st, 2021.
