About German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

DAAD is a private, federally and state-funded, self-governing national agency of German higher education institutions, representing 365 (100 universities and technical universities, 162 general universities of applied sciences, and 52 colleges of music and art) [2003].

The DAAD does not offer study programs or courses, but awards merit-based grants for study and/or research in Germany at authorized German universities. The following will be provided to the applicants who are successful:

  • 850 euros per month for graduates and 1,200 euros per month for doctorate candidates.

Requirements for German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Masters Scholarship Qualification

  • Applicants from developing nations are eligible for the scholarship.
  • The applicants must be educated university graduates.
  • Candidates ought to have finished their Master’s or PhD programs.
  • Candidates ought to be working at a university in Ghana.
  • The fellowship is offered to help with the costs associated with preparing for and completing a PhD degree at a German university.
  • A maximum of 36 months will be allowed for the scholarship to be awarded.
