The Chinese Government NPU Scholarships are available to students pursuing Bachelor’s, Masters, and Doctoral degrees at Northwestern Polytechnic University in China.
To promote mutual understanding, cooperation, and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has established a number of scholarship programs to support international students, teachers, and scholars studying and conducting research at Chinese universities.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Chinese Government NPU Scholarships, applicant must:
- Be under 25 by September 1st, 2025 (Undergraduates).
- Hold a high school diploma by September 1st, 2025.
- Applicants for the master’s program should be under 30 by September 1st, 2025.
- As of September 1st, 2025, applicants for master’s program must hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Maintain good bodily and mental health (no infectious or contagious diseases, and no physical or mental issues that could interfere with regular study).
- Be proficient in doing scientific research and retain a high academic standing. Previous academic grade level requires an average score of 75% or above. NPU takes worldwide standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB, GED, and regional high school graduation exams. Applicants may present other credentials as confirmation of academic performance.
- Have Chinese or English language proficiency that meets the requirement.
- Be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.
