Scholarship Benefit
The scholarship covers tuition and a €11,000 annual stipend. The fellowship is generally renewable for a total of two years, provided that the recipient submits high-quality research proposals to external funding organizations and receives good annual progress reports. The scholarship recipient will be required to complete 120 lessons per year.

How to Apply
- How to Apply: Applicants must first submit an application for admission to UCC through the application portal. For this funding opportunity, people who are interested must send an email to barbara.siller@ucc.ie.
- Documents to Back It Up: You must send in all of the following paperwork:
- Cover letter
- Short resume (max. two pages)
- A 700-word proposal for a project with a short list of sources
- Sample of writing in either English or German (no longer than 3,500 words)
- Academic transcripts
- One scholarly reference
- Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in German Studies or a related field and have gotten at least an Upper Second-Class Honours (2H1) or the equivalent.
- Language requirement: Applicants must show that they have a high level of written and spoken German and English (at least C1+ in both languages). Having experience teaching a language is a plus.
