• Experience Required: 10 years, with 3 years as Assistant Chief Security Officer
• Education: Degree or HND in Humanities/Social Sciences
• Salary: Chief Security Officer is remunerated under the Consolidated University Non-Academic Salary Structure 14 (CONUNASS 14) with additional benefits

Core Responsibilities

1. Coordinate LASUED’s comprehensive security architecture
2. Manage security within the student environment
3. Supervise and manage all security personnel
4. Liaise with external security agencies and law enforcement
5. Conduct intelligence gathering on and off campus
6. Develop and implement university security policies
7. Mitigate potential threats through proactive measures
8. Enhance overall campus safety strategies

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Humanities or Social Sciences (minimum Second Class Lower) or HND (minimum Lower Credit)
• Master’s degree preferred
• Ex-servicemen: Minimum rank of Chief Superintendent of Police or equivalent
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
• High moral standards and integrity
• Proficiency in ICT
