Scholarship Description:

The Monbukagakusho: MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Government of Japan is offering Scholarships for Malaysian Students who are eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree at Japanese universities. The scholarship will be awarded to students who have excellent academic backgrounds.

Degree Level:

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Undergraduate Studies 2023 is available to undertake Undergraduate level programs at Japan Universities.

Available Subjects:

The following categories of study are open to students who are awarded funding through this particular scholarship program.

Scholarship Benefits:

The Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) scholarship program for foreign students, established in 1954, comprises 8 different categories. These include research students, (144,000・145000/month), teacher training students (143,000/month), undergraduate students (117,000/month), Japanese studies students (117,000/month), and others. Exchange students who get scholarships from these programs are called “Japanese Government Scholarship Students”.

Eligibility Criteria:

There are three ways to apply for the scholarships: embassy recommendation, university recommendation, or domestic selection.
