The Heinrich Boll Stiftung is pleased to announce that applications for the 2023/2024 Heinrich Boll Foundation Grants and Scholarships are now open to approximately 1,400 international undergraduates, graduate students, and doctoral candidates.
The scholarship is intended to assist students with outstanding academic credentials who wish to study in Germany to enrol in an eligible institution of higher education.

About the Heinrich Boll Stiftung
The Heinrich Boll Foundation is a part of the global Green political movement that arose in response to the traditional political ideologies of socialism, liberalism, and conservatism. Ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice are our guiding principles.
We place special emphasis on gender democracy, which we define as social emancipation and equal rights for men and women. In addition, we are committed to the equal rights of cultural and ethnic minorities as well as the social and political participation of immigrants. Finally, we advocate for proactive nonviolence and peace policies.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Heinrich Boll Foundation Grants and Scholarships, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
- International students with solid academic credentials must apply.
- Must demonstrate compelling reasons for applying for a scholarship from the Heinrich Boll Foundation.
- Must possess the credentials necessary for admission to a German institution of higher education.
- Be willing to comply with the regulations governing student conduct at a German university.
- Demonstrate great interpersonal skills.

- Personal data and CV
- Motivation letter for the Heinrich Boll Foundation application
- A summary of your motivation for pursuing your chosen field of study and your primary areas of interest.
- A summary of your social obligations and political pursuits
