Her African-American mother, Judith Marchand, was of Indo-Trinidadian descent, and her father, Keith Stahler, was of Afro-Trinidian descent while worked as a mechanic. Her father was a resident of the borough of Brooklyn. Additionally, she is of Chinese and Trinidadian ancestry.
Pretty Boy and Anton Marchand are her brothers, and she also has a sister. Foxy Brown spent her childhood in the neighborhood of Park Slope in Brooklyn, where she later attended Brooklyn College Academy.

Foxy Brown was a child when she took first place in a talent competition that was held in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. There were members of the production crew Trackmasters present, and they were working on LL Cool J’s Mr. Smith album at the time. Trackmasters were mostly responsible for producing the album, and it featured Jay-Z, the Backstreet Boys, Method Man, and Kid Capri as guest artists.
