Delsu Admission into the Intensive Degree Programme for the 2022/2023 Academic Session

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates into the underlisted programmes of the Delta State University, Abraka as follows:-

Delta State University Intensive Degree Programme

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE

• B.Sc Accounting
• B.Sc Banking and Finance

Delsu B.Sc Accounting Degree Programme Admission Requirements.

B.Sc Accounting Degree programme is a 2(two) AND 3 (three) year intensive Degree programme.

• Candidates must possess five (5) credits at WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Social Science subjects.
  
• GCE A’level in Accounts or Economics and at least one other Social Science with a Minimum of 9 points.
• HND with at least Upper credit from approved Polytechnics or College of Technology.
• ND from approved Polytechnics or Colleges of Technology with a grade not Lower than Upper credit.
• Foundation/Intermediate certificate in relevant Professional Bodies such as ICAN, ACCA and ANAN.

Delsu B.Sc Business Administration Degree Programme Admission Requirements.

B.Sc Business Administration Degree programme is a 2(two) AND 3 (three) year intensive Degree programme.

• Candidates must possess five (5) credit at SSCE which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and two Social Science subjects at not more than two sittings.
• A’level or HSC pass in Management, Economics and at least one other subject with a minimum of 9 points.
• HND or ND with a grade not lower than upper credit.
• Foundation/Intermediate Examinations passes of recognized professional bodies like chartered Institute of Management of Nigeria (CIMN) or chartered Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (CIMN).

Delsu B.Sc Banking and Finance Degree Programme Admission Requirements.

B.Sc Banking and Finance Degree programme is a 2(two) AND 3 (three) year intensive Degree programme.

• Candidates must possess five (5) O’level credits which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Social Science subjects.
• GCE A’ level in Accounts or Economics and at least one other Social Science subjects with a minimum of 6 points.
• HND with Upper credit obtained from recognized Polytechnics or Colleges of Technology.
• OND from recognized Polytechnic or Colleges of Technology with a grade not Lower than Upper credit.
• Foundation/Intermediate certificate in relevant Professional bodies such as ICAN, ACCA and ANAN.

Delsu B.Sc Marketing Degree Programme Admission Requirements.

B.Sc Marketing Degree programme is a 2(two) AND 3 (three) year intensive Degree programme.

• Candidate must possess five (5) O’level credit passes at not more than two sittings which must include, English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two Social Science.
• A level passes in Management, Economics and at least one other subject with a minimum of 6 points.
• HND or ND with a grade not lower than Upper credit (ND) and lower credit
  (HND).
• Foundation/Intermediate Examinations passes of recognized professional 
• Bodies such as Chartered Institute Management or Chartered Institute Management of Marketing CIMN.

Delsu Faculty of Engineering Admission Requirements.

B. Eng Intensive Degree programme of 2(two) AND 3 (three) years into the following:

B.Eng Civil Engineering, B. Eng. Chemical Engineering, B. Eng Electrical & Electronic Engineering, B. Eng Mechanical Engineering and B. Eng. Petroleum Engineering for  ND and post HND Candidates requires:-

• Five (5) O’level credits which should include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and any other subject.
• ND at least Upper credit in the Engineering programme of choice. This is for post ND applicants.
• HND at Lower credit in the programme of choice. This is for post HND
  applicants.
• Holders of HND at Lower credit from closely related department/Programes may be admitted if the applicant has a minimum of ten (10) post HND graduation work experience from related industries.
• Candidates for the post HND must in addition have NYSC/Exemption certificate.

Delta state University Faculty of Science Requirements

1. B.Sc COMPUTER SCIENCE

B.Sc Computer Science Intensive Degree for the 2 AND 3 years intensive degree programme requires:

• Five O/L credit passes at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geography.
• At least two GCE ‘A’ Level passes which must include Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 6 points.
• A National Diploma with a minimum of upper credit or Higher National Diploma with a minimum of lower credit or a with a minimum credit in any of the following;
  a. Data Processing
  b. Computer Engineering
  c. Information System/Information Technology
  d. Engineering Technology,
  e. Mathematics Education/Physics Education/Computer Science Education.
• First degree of Delta State University or any other University recognized by the Senate of Delta State University.
• Credit passes in at least two subjects at the National Certificate of Education (NCE), which must include Computer Science and Mathematics or Physics.
• DELSU Diploma in Computer Science Education with a merit pass.

Delta state University Faculty of Social Science Requirements

FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE

• B.Sc Accounting
• B.Sc Business Administration
• B.Sc. Mass Communication

Delsu B.Sc Accounting Degree Programme Admission Requirements.

B.Sc Accounting for 2(two) years intensive Degree programme.

• I. Candidate must possess five (5) O level passes which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two Social Science/ Management Subject.
• HND from any approved Polytechnic with at least Lower Credit.
• Passes of recognized professional bodies of ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, ACA.

This category is expected to have done the mandatory NYSC/Exemption certificate.

B.Sc Accounting for 3 (three)years intensive Degree programme.

• Candidates must possess five (5) O’level credit passes which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two Social Science/Management subjects.
• ND in approved Polytechnic or College of Technology in Accounting with a grade not lower than Upper Credit.

 Delsu B.Sc Business Administration Degree Programme Admission Requirements.

B.Sc Business Administration for 2(two) years intensive Degree programme.

• Candidate must possess five (5) credit at SSCE to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, One Social Science subject and any other subject in Arts, Science and Social Science.
• HND with a grade of Lower credit in Business Studies or Business
  Management.
• NYSC/Exemption certificate.

B.Sc Business Administration for 3(three) years intensive Degree programme.

• Candidate must possess five (5) credits which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, One Social Science subject and any other subject in Arts, Science and Social Sciences.
• ND with a minimum of Upper credit in a relevant discipline.

Delsu B.Sc Mass Communication Admission Requirements.

B.Sc Mass Communication for 2 and 3 Year Intensive Degree Programme requires:

•  Five (5) O’level credit passes which must include English Language, Literature in English, Mathematics and two other subjects from Arts or Social Science.
• Two A’level passes in Arts and Social Science one of which must be Literature in English with a minimum of eleven (11) points.
• At least upper credit in OND in Communication Studies and related fields.
• At least a Merit pass in DELSU Diploma in Mass Communication.

How to Apply for the DELSU Intensive Degree Programme

Candidates are required to visit https://portal.delsu.edu.ng to generate a virtual PIN with twenty thousand naira only (N20,000.00). Payment should be made to any of the following banks.

PROCEDURE TO GENERATE DELSU VIRTUAL PIN

• Visit https://portal.delsu.edu.ng
• Click on Apply for Admission
• Select Start button
• Click on Programme and complete the form
• Submit the form and generate PIN
• Print out the PIN generated
• Visit any of the specified banks for payment.

Other Important Delsu Intensive Degree information:

• With pin go to the Bank for payment before completing form online with recent colour passport sized photo scanned to the JPEG format at not more than 20kb in size.
• Candidates are advised to use virtual pin immediately as pin is valid for only six (6) hours.
• Candidates are advised to read instruction on front page of website before
  completing form.
