Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has introduced a major upgrade in student affairs management, approving the use of electronic systems for both hostel allocation and voting. This new process will take effect from the 2024/2025 academic session.

In an official memorandum dated September 26, 2024, and signed by Prof. Ignatius N. Njoshe, Dean of Students, the University informed students and staff of the changes. The approval was granted by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Andy O. Egwunyenga, and is aimed at streamlining administrative tasks.

Key Changes:

  • Hostel Allocation: The new electronic hostel allocation system will replace the traditional manual method, providing a more efficient process for students.

 

  • Voting System: All Students’ Union Government (SUG) elections will now be conducted electronically, ensuring fairness and transparency.
