The winner of the first prize will receive $1,500, and the two runners-up will each receive $600 for their efforts.

Scholarship Eligibility:
The competition is open to science graduates, including Masters and PhD candidates, as well as Post Doc scientists, who are 30 years old or younger and work in the fields of life or material or chemical or environmental sciences for organizations in Australia or New Zealand. We are only able to consider a single entry from each individual. The winning submissions will be highlighted in our newsletter in addition to being published on our website and Facebook. Your ability to receive payment is dependent on whether or not your employer or organization has granted you written permission to accept this award. A group of ATA Scientific staff members will evaluate each entry in the competition. * The evaluation committee has the discretion to take into account any mitigating circumstances that may warrant taking into account an applicant who does not meet the age requirement. Biotechnology, proteins, pharmaceuticals, foods, agriculture, chemicals, polymers, ceramics, particles, surfaces, minerals, soil, and water are some of the fields that fall under this category.
