Max Pacheco, 17, was accepted to the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), located in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States.

In 2020, Max, a senior at South Forsyth High School, will be able to fulfill his dream of attending the Georgia Institute of Technology. He applied to the university because he had always wanted to go since the seventh grade.
He was overjoyed to learn that his wish had come true and that he had been accepted when he checked the school’s website in January 2020, according to GMA.

After learning of his acceptance, Max expressed his desire to surprise and thank Dr. Gloria Green, his favorite AP Spanish instructor from high school, who had written a recommendation letter for him.

Max surprised Dr. Green with the wonderful news and accompanied it with a bouquet of flowers. He claimed that he asked for the recommendation because of her exceptional experience, patience, and sincere concern for her kids.

“So, I had the good fortune to be accepted into @GeorgiaTech this past Saturday. I broke the news to Dr. Green, one of my favorite professors and the one who submitted my recommendation, at school today. This was her response, Max remarked.

“She went crazy when I told her I got into Georgia Tech.” She began to dance and give me hugs, and it truly brought me to tears because I could see and feel how much she cared for me. She was aware of my desire to attend Tech and my diligence in pursuing it,” he continued.

“I felt quite joyful. It was as though my own child were off to college. It is expected of the teachers to make an intentional effort to think about the students at all times. “I received yellow roses in return for my investment in my children,” Dr. Green remarked.

She expressed her admiration for Max’s confidence, warmth of heart, and interpersonal skills. When he was a student in her class, Dr. Green claimed that she got along well with him right away.

Max conveyed his appreciation to his closest friends and the South Forsyth High School community.

“Dr. Green is an excellent teacher, but she also truly understands how to meet the needs of each and every one of her students because of her ability to build relationships with them. I felt incredibly wonderful at that time, like I was her son or something,” he remarked.

Max intends to attend Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, to pursue a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
