She said she applied to 41 universities in all, including Georgetown University, Notre Dame, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of California, Los Angeles, but she will select Harvard University as it granted her a full ride scholarship.
In addition to stating that Harvard University is her dream school, Silvana claimed that the university is the reason she is selecting it. She received a full ride scholarship offer.

Harvard was my first choice, even though I initially believed it to be such a long shot. Since fifth grade, that has been my ideal school for the past seven years, so I knew I had to prioritize it, Silvana remarked.

“I mean, I never thought I would get in, especially coming from an impoverished community that rarely sees anyone get accepted,” she continued. When Silvana started kindergarten, she hardly knew any English and had difficulty in school. Looking back, she realized how far she had come.
