From Campus Laboratory to High-Growth Clean Technology

Demonstrating the entrepreneurial vitality of Rivers State University's academic ecosystem, alumnus Zackary Kim has successfully closed a twelve million dollar venture investment round for an environmental intelligence company originally conceived during their studies in Port Harcourt.

The startup specializes in automated satellite remote sensing and machine learning analysis, providing institutional investors and environmental regulators with auditable, real-time measurements of methane and carbon emissions across energy infrastructure.

The Incubation Journey

• Foundational Research: Initial algorithms developed during graduate coursework within Rivers State University's Department of Economics & Global Finance.
• Incubator Support: Early-stage prototyping grants and legal mentorship provided by the university's technology commercialization hub.
