Covenant University Researcher Mei-Ling Wang Appointed to National Academy Young Researcher Fellowship

Mei-Ling Wang, a postdoctoral research fellow in Covenant University's Department of Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence based in Ota, has been formally appointed to the National Academy of Sciences and Innovation Young Researcher Fellowship — one of the most competitive early-career appointments available to researchers within Nigeria.

The fellowship provides a five-year renewable research grant, mentorship from senior National Academy Fellows, and priority access to national high-performance computing clusters and advanced scientific instrumentation facilities.

Mei-Ling Wang's recognition stems from a sustained record of publications exploring computational approaches to understanding complex biological networks — particularly protein-protein interaction graphs associated with neurodegenerative disease progression.
