Adeola Williams, a recently graduated Masters of Science student from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur's Faculty of Law and Public Governance in Kharagpur, has been awarded the prestigious National Graduate Thesis Award in Environmental Science — the highest academic distinction for postgraduate thesis research within India's national scientific community.

The award-winning thesis, supervised by a senior professor in Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur's environmental research faculty, developed a novel computational model for predicting coastal erosion rates under different climate warming scenarios over a fifty-year horizon.
