Delta State University, also known as DELSU, has announced the sale of her Pre-Degree admission form for the 2025 academic session at the sum of N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira).
DELSU Pre-Degree Program is designed for candidates who meet specific qualifications. This programme prepares students for admission into DELSU’s first-year degree programmes, with the exception of Medicine and Law.
Last week I helped my nephew to make his DELSU pre-degree payment. The process seemed overwhelming at first, but it turned out pretty straightforward.
“Uncle,” he said, “everyone’s saying different things about the process.”
Well, let me walk you through exactly what we did and share some insider tips we picked up along the way.
Before you apply, first confirm if you meet all requirements via the link below. The last thing you want is paying for a form when you’re not eligible!
Step 1. Visit DELSU’s Portal
I remember how nervous my nephew was about getting this right. Just head to DELSU’s official portal. That’s your starting point. Nothing fancy, just the official website where everything begins.
Step 2. Start Your Application
This part’s interesting. Click on “Apply for Admission” first, then look for the “Pre-Degree Program” option. I remember my nephew almost clicked the wrong program, these small details really matter!
Step 3. Complete and Submit the Form
Here’s where most people rush, but take your time. Fill in every detail carefully. My nephew was able to catch a spelling error in his name because we double-checked everything before we submitted.
Step 4. Print Your PIN
After submitting, you’ll get your PIN. Trust me on this print multiple copies. We printed three: one for the bank, one for home records, and one extra just in case.
Pro Tip: Keep your virtual pin safe; you’ll need it throughout the application process.
Step 5. Make Payment
This is where our journey to the bank begins. Funny story: we actually went to two banks before finding the one with the shortest queue! You can use:
- Ecobank
- Unity Bank
- Fidelity Bank
- UBA
- Zenith Bank

Wrapping up
We completed everything by 11 AM because we arrived early. Morning hours at banks are usually less crowded!
Keep screenshots of everything: your payment reference, bank teller, and portal confirmation. You’d be surprised how often you’ll need to refer back to these!
The early bird catches the worm! Making your payment early helps you avoid those last-minute rushes and portal glitches that always seem to happen near deadlines.
