Demonstrating the entrepreneurial vitality of LMU Munich's academic ecosystem, alumnus Hannah Van Der Meer has successfully closed a twelve million dollar venture investment round for an environmental intelligence company originally conceived during their studies in Munich.
The startup specializes in automated satellite remote sensing and machine learning analysis, providing institutional investors and environmental regulators with auditable, real-time measurements of methane and carbon emissions across energy infrastructure.
The Incubation Journey
- Foundational Research: Initial algorithms developed during graduate coursework within LMU Munich's Faculty of Physics and Astronomy.
