Eligibility Criteria

  • The scholarship will be awarded in any topic offered by the university.
  • Eligibility Requirements: In order to qualify, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
  • Students are required to have a 7 Century GPA, a 1310 Evidence-based Reading and Writing/Math score, and a 28 composite score.

  • How to Apply: Applicants must fill out either the online Common Application or the online Centenary Application.
  • Documents to Back It Up: Choose one of the following topics for your essay:

  • Why 100 years? What about Centenary has stood out to you as you looked for colleges?
  • Original or certified copies of all records and diplomas from high school or middle school.
  • Recommendation letter from a teacher, college professor, or college adviser. Send everything to the Office of Admission at 2911 Centenary Boulevard, Shreveport, LA 71104, or to [email protected].
  • Requirements for admission are that applicants must send in their ACT and SAT scores.
  • Language Requirement: If you don’t speak English as your first language, you must send official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or the Duolingo English Test. A candidate can ask to get out of the TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo requirement if he or she meets one or more of the following:
  • Attended the last two years of high school or secondary school at an approved English-only institution and earned a high school or secondary school diploma; or
  • Successfully completed 30 transferable semester hours at a regionally accredited U.S. institution, including at least six semester hours in English (excluding remedial English or English as a Second Language course).
