PHOTOS: EFCC Arrest Owner Of Hotel, Oladimeji Olusegun, 49 Others Over Alleged Internet Fraud

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has recently arrested a 30 year old Oladimeji Olusegun Ogunfolaju.

The owner of Lakers Hotel and Lake County Entertainment in Lagos and Seventy Nine others for allegedly involving in internet fraud.

Reports states that the hotel is a haven for Internet fraudsters and is currently now being guarded by armed security men from 3 distinct security agencies, which includes the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police and the Nigerian Navy.

The EFCC acting spokesman, Tony Orilade however, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja.

In addition, Orilade explained that, “The suspects were arrested during a sting operation on the hotel located at 29, Ebute-Igbogbo Road, Ikorodu, Lagos on Saturday, March 7, 2020, following an intensive surveillance and intelligence gathering by the Commission about their alleged criminal activities.

“In his statement, Ogunfolaju stated that he had built the hotel, which comprises of a night club and a strip bar, from the profits of internet fraud in the year 2017.

“Reports has stated that about 60 of the suspects have already volunteered useful information, leading to further investigations”

Numerous Items recovered are exotic cars, jewellery, mobile phones and documents.

The anti fraud agency said the suspects would soon be arraigned in court at the completion of investigation.
