Scholarship Benefit
The scholarship covers the following for three years (36 months) in total:
- Annual New Zealand University tuition costs and associated student levies are capped at $10,000 NZD.
- An annual living allowance of $28,000 New Zealand dollars (tax free)
- Annual medical insurance coverage of up to $700
- Visa application fees cannot exceed $1,000.
- Return flights to New Zealand costing up to $6,00
- Up to $1,500 book and thesis preparation allowance (one-off)
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be citizens of a developing countries, as defined by the International Monetary Fund; and
- Applicants must possess a Master’s degree or the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with distinction in agriculture, soil science, microbiology, genetics, environmental modelling, plant science, environmental chemistry/science, or a related discipline.
